Terms of Service — Spanislate

By using Spanislate, you agree to the following terms.
1. Intended Use
Spanislate is a medical translation tool designed for healthcare professionals, travelers, and Spanish learners. It provides offline Spanish-English translation with specialized medical terminology. Spanislate is not a certified medical device and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical interpretation or translation services in critical medical situations.
2. No Account Required
Spanislate does not require login, registration, or the creation of any personal profile.
3. Local-Only Processing and No Data Storage
- All translation processing occurs locally on your device.
- No content is transmitted to external servers by Spanislate.
- Spanislate does not store any translation history, conversations, or user data.
- By copying, exporting, or sharing any translated content containing sensitive medical or patient information, you explicitly accept full responsibility for handling that information in accordance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
4. Translation Accuracy and Verification
While Spanislate is specifically designed for medical communication and includes extensive medical terminology, translation may not be 100% accurate. You are solely responsible for:
- Verifying the accuracy of all translations
- Ensuring proper interpretation of critical medical information
- Confirming important medical details through professional interpretation when necessary
- Understanding that translation accuracy may vary based on audio quality, pronunciation, and context
5. Medical and Healthcare Use
When using Spanislate for medical communication, patient interactions, or healthcare documentation, you acknowledge that:
- Translation output should always be verified for critical medical communications
- You are responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare privacy laws (such as HIPAA)
- Spanislate is not responsible for any misinterpretation or inaccuracy in translated content
- Critical medical decisions should not be based solely on Spanislate's translations
- Professional medical interpreters should be used for complex or life-critical communications
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to content you translate through Spanislate. Anescribe, LLC claims no ownership over your conversations, documents, or translated content.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anescribe, LLC and its affiliates, directors, officers, and contractors from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of Spanislate
- Any breach of these terms
- Any violation of privacy laws or regulations
- Any adverse medical outcome arising from reliance on translated content
- Any unauthorized sharing of sensitive medical or patient information
- Any regulatory penalties or compliance violations
8. Limitations of Liability
Anescribe, LLC makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding translation accuracy, speech recognition quality, or fitness for a particular medical purpose. You assume full responsibility for verifying and applying all translated content. Spanislate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anescribe, LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including medical errors, misdiagnosis, or treatment complications, arising out of your use of Spanislate. In all events, for any type of claim, liability, or obligation whatsoever, Anescribe, LLC's cumulative liability shall not exceed the purchase cost paid by you.
In the event of dissatisfaction or dispute, Anescribe, LLC's total liability is strictly limited to the amount you paid for your most recent purchase. We are not responsible for any consequential, indirect, or punitive damages, including but not limited to medical errors, misinterpretation of medical communications, patient harm, or regulatory penalties.
9. Device Security and HIPAA Compliance
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any sensitive medical information processed through Spanislate. This includes using appropriate device security measures such as passcodes, biometric locks, keeping your device updated, and ensuring compliance with your organization's HIPAA and privacy policies.
10. Subscription and Payment Terms
Spanislate offers a subscription service with a free trial period followed by annual billing. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription management settings.
11. Updates
We reserve the right to update these terms. Continued use of Spanislate after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
